Salt & Pillars
by: Thiemo Strutzenberger
During the Deconfining Writers’ Residency that occurred from 3 to 16 February 2023 as a collaborative effort between Salzkammergut 2024 and Operndorf Afrika – Village Opera, Thiemo Strutzenberger from Austria and Sidiki Yougbaré from Burkina Faso embarked on a journey through the diverse landscapes and hidden corners of the Salzkammergut region, engaged in meaningful exchanges with the local community and engaged in extensive dialogues with one another.
Thiemo’s resulting text from this residency beautifully captures his unique reflections, thoughts, and ideas.
