Peer-to-peer Exchange Programme on Intercontinental Mobility and Cultural Cooperation between Africa & Europe

Are you an artist or cultural producer working in Africa or Europe? Do you want to explore new ways of intercontinental collaboration and mobility? Apply now for Shaping Crossroads, a peer-to-peer exchange programme bringing together creatives from both continents!

As part of the Deconfining project, ITI Germany, in collaboration with Nafasi Art Space Tanzania, invites applications from African and European artists, cultural producers, and representatives of organizations or groups working across artistic disciplines.

About the Programme

The exchange will take place from July to November 2025 through a series of workshops:

• Two online sessions (July & September 2025)
• One in-person workshop in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (November 2025)

Participants will engage in discussions and co-develop solutions to challenges in intercontinental mobility and cultural cooperation. The programme covers travel, accommodation, and catering costs for the in-person workshop, and selected participants will receive an honorarium for a written experience report.

Who Can Apply?

• Individuals representing an organization, collective, or initiative in Africa or Europe
  
• Practitioners engaged in cultural mobility (research, policymaking, exchange programs, advocacy)
  
• Participants committed to attending all workshops and contributing to the discussion
