e-book: Narratives of closeness and distance from Central-Eastern Europe and South-Eastern Africa
We are happy to present to you our intercontinental anthology titled “Narratives of Closeness and Distance from Central-Eastern Europe and South-Eastern Africa”, created thanks to the ART TRANSPARENT Foundation in collaboration with PRO PROGRESSIONE, Nafasi Art Space and the Women’s History Museum Zambia, and together with editors Urszula Markowska-Manista & Natasha Omokhodion-Kalulu Banda.
By bringing together artists, scholars and practitioners from different contexts and countries (Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Czechia, Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia) who search for common points and connections in intercontinental history, memories, art, science and fine literature, our partners were searching for innovative ways of looking at what is near and far, while exploring the world of Central and Eastern Europe (i.e. Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) and South-Eastern Africa (i.e. Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia). The artists were gathered through an open call.
